Have you ever had a problem with your bank? Up until a couple of weeks ago I would have answered “No” to that question. I’ve had an account with my bank since mom and I opened my first account together when I was just a kid (Hodell, if you’re reading this, NO COMMENTS! ), and I really haven’t experienced any problems that weren’t corrected quickly. Even recently when “The Bank” took money out of my account that they said I didn’t deposit, the matter was quickly resolved and the money returned.

Although my account was a little short for one day, I was pleased with how everything was handled. They made a mistake, found the error, and quickly corrected it. Now, imagine my surprise when I login to their Internet banking two weeks later and find out that they did it to me again, only this time I also find the following:

That’s not a typo folks! Negative $889,203.56! Hey, even I’ve had my share of overdrafts in the past, but that’s just wrong! What the hell are they up to now?!

I was visiting Dad in the hospital and noticed some dark smoke rising from a construction site across the highway. About 30 seconds later that smoked looked like this:

I took the picture on my iPaq through a rain soaked window, so the quality is obviously pretty bad. To give you an idea of the scale, that’s a bus on the highway directly in front of the fire.

Update (1/25/06): I never found out what was on fire, and it was never mentioned on the news, but someone has placed an American Flag at the scene.
